[A]ll that [G]litters is [G]old

Two words: Edward Cullen.

Edward Cullen - Twilight

At first I really didn't know what the hype was all about...Edward and Bella shirts everywhere, posters, people wrapping around the theater to catch the midnight showing, Kim's away message expressing her anxious await of the DVD release at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday. LOL. After watching it (twice) today, however, I see what the Twilight hype was all about.

First and foremost let me clarify that it was not full of award winning acting or even a complex storyline. It was good, but definitely not one of my favorite movies of all time. It was, however, my favorite vampire movie of all time. Maybe its the simple fact that as much as it was a vampire story, it was a love story. Kind of like a chick flick on steroids; with a little bit of vampire chasing and blood, but not enough to make me gag over my popcorn bowl (like most, if not all other vampire movies).

I'd have to say that my favorite scene was definitely when Edward takes Bella "spidermonkey" climbing to the top of that tree. How scary, and yet oh so romantic would it be to experience that! The scenery was amazing and actually made me consider the thought of someday visiting Washington. Oh yea, and how freakin LEGIT was the Cullen residence. Straight off of a Kanye blog post. I would kill to have a house like that. No pun intended.

And how strangely handsome was Edward. Really. I mean hes not anyone I'd ever be with but his mysterious stare is kind of hot. Reminds me of Ed Westwick a little bit [Chuck on Gossip Girl]. And that glittery gold skin, Lord knows I'm easily amused with sparkly stuff. HAHA! Kim and I actually had a full conversation about how she's gunna marry him someday. Ok so maybe that's not exactly what we said but she'd love it lol. No, wait. She'd "seriously give up sunlight for the rest of [her] life to have sex with him." HAHAHA, she's off the hook. Her favorite "Edward look" is when he steps out of the car and walks with Bella up to the school with his sunglasses on. I think mine was when he pulls in super fast to save her when those guys are harassing her and he says "get in the car". OoooOoOo agressive, I like. LOL

Chuck Bass - Gossip Girl

Since I mentioned Kim's potential sunlight rescission, can i just say that all of those pale people in one movie just made me want to throw everyone into one giant tanning bed! Sheesh!!! They look almost green or fluorescent! Besides, how hot would they all be if they were just a tad more tan and covered in gold glittery skin. Hello!

Anyway, enough about everything. All in all it was a pretty darn good movie. Thanks Kimmie for encouraging me to take the time to watch it and I actually must say I can't wait for the next one...looks like I'm officially a Twilight nerd.
